Go Walkies at Jinney Ring promises fantastic fun for all the family and their pet!

How to Take Part

Arrive at the Jinney Ring and join the Guide Dogs for the Blind fund-raising walk event.
Start from the craft centre gardens at anytime between 11am and 2pm on Sunday 8th April.

Ideally bring a dog -- your own, or perhaps borrow one you know loves a walk. Toy dogs are also allowed (and don't pull as much on the lead!) All the family are welcome and you can still join in even if you don't have a dog.

All walkers (not just those with dogs) need to register to take part in the event. You can do so by filling in a Registration Card on the day at Jinney Ring.

A sponsor form will be available here - coming soon.

Choose a walk that suits your fitness, stamina and time frames. There will be three walks to choose from which are described below.

On completing their walk, each dog will receive a certificate and dog tag to wear proudly on their collar as a thank you for their support.

Details of the Walk

Walk 1 is for children, young puppies and those who prefer a short walk - this will be about 1/2 mile.

Walk 2 is a medium walk and is about 3 miles in length. It is easy to moderate with only a very limited number styles to climb, (if any at all.)

Walk 3 is about 6.5 miles and follows the route of the Hanbury Circular Walk (for more details see 'Local Walks' section of this website). This takes you through woodland, parkland and alongside the canal.
